ABOUT THE AUTHOR Howard Milton is a senior librarian at the Ministry of Defence where he has worked since 1968. A lifelong Kent supporter, he has been writing on Kent county cricket since 1977, and is now the Kent C.C.C. Honorary Statistician. He has also been Honorary Librarian of The Cricket Society since 1977 and a member of The Society’s Committee since 1996. An ACS member since 1973 and the Kent “expert” for most of that time, he was Cricket Statistician of the Year in 1995.
