Eleven-a-side matches, 18 ; won, 9 ; drawn, 8 ; lost, 1. Odds matches, 4 ; won, 1 : drawn, 1. The wins were over South Africa (four times), the Border, Cape Province, Griqualand West, Orange Free State, Transvaal, Grahams­ town XVIII, and South-Western Districts XV (twice.) The drawn games were with South Africa, the Border, Transvaal '(two), XI of the Transvaal, Western Province (two), and Northern Natal XV. The loss was to Natal at Durban. In the 18 eleven-a-side games the M.C.C. Team aggregated 7475 runs for the loss of 208 wickets—average 35-9 per wicket. Their opponents aggregated 5849 runs for 308 wickets—average 18*9. The batting averages, both of the M.C.C. Team and of their opponents, follow. The bowling figures cannot be given in full at present.
