O c t o b e r , 1914. THE WORLD OF CRICKET. 471 Mounteney, Parsons, and Harry Whitehead, of 96 by Charles worth, H. G. Garnett, George Gunn, Morton, and C. O. H. Sewell. There were thus as many as 26 scores which only needed in each case one more boundary stroke for three figures. Anson, J. S. Denton, Harrison, Mounteney, and Morton do not appear in the century lis t; but of these Anson and Mounteney are the •only men who have never reached the hundred in a first-class game at home. Anson made 162 for I Zingari v. All Egypt at Cairo last March, and it would be no great stretch of classification (while matches such as Oxford University v. Mr. G. J. V. Weigall’s X I and v. Free Foresters are accorded rank) to include this as iirst-class. CENTURIES IN FIRST-CLASS CRICKET. (Comparison of 1914, 1913, and 1912.) 19 14 . I 9 I 3 - 19 12 . C e n t C e n t . C e n t .
