W addy’ s New South W ales team to Ceylon is expected to include that gentlem an him self, with his brothers, the Rev. P. S. and E. L. W addy, Warren B ardsley, G. R. H azlitt P. S. A rnott, R. B. M innett, P. W. and C. D ocker, W. J. Stack, E . J. L o n g, N. M. G re g g , G. B. O. T u ck, and W. Cam eron. T h ey w ill play a one-day match w ith Western A ustralia at Perth or Frem antle on the way (Decem ber 20), and w ill reach Colombo on D ecem ber 31. T en n is g o lf, and p lenty of sigh t-seein g have also been arranged for, and the tourists w ill, beyond doubt, have a rare good time. T h ey cannot accept the invitation of the Bom bay authorities to v isit that city and play a m atch v. A ll India, tim e not perm itting. A s yet it is not known whether the su ggestio n made by the C eylon comm ittee that an A ll India team shall be sent to play at Colombo in a trian gu lar tournament is likely to be accepted; if it is some alteration of the programm e above-given m ay be necessary. Tw o d ays’ practice in Sydney w ill precede the m atches, which are now p ractically settled thus, though the Toowoomba match is doubtful, and m ay have to be lim ited to one day if played:— D ecem ber 12 and 13— at West M aitland, v. Queensland, N ew South W ales, and V icto ria have guaranteed £75 each, the M elbourne C lub and the up- country towns £50 each, while the South M elbourne and Adelaide gu aran tees were not settled when the last m ail left N ew Zealand. T h e New Zealand C ricket Council gu aran tees ,£100, and the Auckland, C anterbury, O tago, and Wel lington A ssociation s £70 each. T h e expenses of the tour are estimated at £ 960. T h e C ouncil has appointed the fol low in g gentlem en as selectors of the team :— L. G. Hemus (Auckland), D. Reese (Canterbury), A. Downes (O tago), M. J. Crom bie (W ellington), and S. A .
