K ing was making his first appearance of the season, and follow ed up his good score by taking 5 for 32. It is tobe hoped he w ill play regularly in 1914. H is old club, Belmont, is defunct; butPhiladelphia w ill be overjoyed io have his help. On the same day Staten Island made 231 (J. W . Arrowsmith 51) v. M anor Field at New York, and the New York Veterans scored 202 for 6 (C. L. Simpson 77, A. S. Durrant 67) v. Bensonhurst, each winning easily. Richm ond County (206 for 9, dec.—C. L.
