September 27, 1913. CR I CKET : A WEEKLY RECORD OE THE GAME. Hobbs scored four centuries in five successive matches. Mead (C.P.) scored three in three successive matches. Tyldesley (E.) scored his three in the course of four successive matches. Tyldesley (J. T.) artice scored two in successive matches. C. J. B. Wood scored his two in successive matches. The following each made two centuries in successive innings : Hobbs (twice), Mead (C. P.) (twice), Haywood, Hearne (W. J.), Relf (A. i.), S. G. Smith, Tarrant, and the Hon. L. H. Tennyson. The names of W. G. K. Boswell, A. W. Carr, Chester, G. R. R. Colman, B. S. Cumberlege, W. H. Denton, M. H. C. Doll, Capt. G. Ii. S. Fowke, Harrison, Hyman, Jupp, Kilner, A. H. Lang, Lee, F. T. Mann, C. D. Mclver, J. W. W. Nason, Parsons, W. N. Riley, Russell, Sandham, S. H. Saville, Seymour (John), the Hon. L. H. Tennyson, A. C. Wilkinson, and H. L. Wilson are new to the first- class century list. The total of 26 such is only one below the number in 1911, and more than double that of 1912, when there were only 11 actual new names, first class cricket in all countries being taken under review.
