North Down at Comber contained twenty-six 4's, and he did some tremendous hitting. There were twenty-three 4's in J. A. Donnelly’s masterly 130 for Ulster v. Lisburn at Bally- nafeigh, a match in the first round of the Ulster Senior Cup, in which Donnelly’s side declared at 336 for 9, and"got out their rivals for 72. Queen’s University (Belfast) beat Downpatrick (135 to 81) in the same competition. North of Ireland easily defeated Armagh (134 to 40) at Ormeau. Oscar Andrews took 6 for 19 for the winners. Castleknock College and Phoenix indulged in pretty heavy scoring (277 for 7, dec., and 221), T. K. Donovan and iW. P. Hone reaching three figures for their respec tive sides. Three of the Hone family made centuries during the week. For King’s County v. Curragh Brigade R. M. Goodbody ran up 92.
