Paddington. Baring’s innings of 135 was remarkable for the fact j that the total of his side was only 189. D. Taylor in J his 181* at Bathurst hit four 6’s and twenty-five 4 ’s, and gave no chance. Randell and Halliday for North ' Perth on February 8 added 303 for the second wicket in two and three-quarter hours, and the innings of the |state representative was faultless, a remarkable thing when the pace at which he scored is considered. Hotchin j and Ainslie put up 235 before a wicket fell for St. Kilda ! on February 1. Mayne’s big innings was splendidly j played, and he and L. W. Chamberlain (95) put on 238 [for the third wicket of their side. Pincombe, of Broken Hill, took 7 wickets for 17 in the same match in which j he scored his 200. East Launceston’s total v. W. JLaunceston was 450 for 6 ; besides E llio tt’s century, j A. F indlay ran up 96*, and L. Thomas 95. Driscoll’s ! 109* was hit in only just over an hour ; it included a 6, Ia 5, and nineteen 4’s. Harrison and McKenzie for ISouth Launceston’s third w icket added 199. The scoring is the match between the Victorian and J N.S.W. Banks at Melbourne was very high. Victoria
