Team by 2 wickets. Scores : Argentine Republic, 171 (Garnett 51 not out, Jackson 38), and 98 ; M.C.C., 169 (N. C. Tufnell 45 not out, E. R. Wilson, 34) and 101 for 8 (A. C. MacLaren 35 not out). P. A. Foy, the old Bedford School boy, bowled finely for Argentina, taking 12 wickets for 126 in the match. 8 th M atch, v— A rgen tin e B orn.— Played on March 6 and 7, and won by the M.C.C. Team by an innings and 97 runs. Scores : Argentine Born, 123 and 167 (H. A. Cowes 48); M.C.C., 387 for 4 wickets, declared (A. C. MacLaren 172, N. C. Tufnell, 163 not out). 9th M atch y.— The N orth.— Played on March 9 and 10, and won by the M.C.C. Team by 6 wickets. Scores : North 226 (Cowes 56, Middleton 40 not out) and 41 ; M.C.C. 209 (A. C. MacLaren 64. M. C. Bird 41) and 59 for 4 (M. C. Bird, 38). E. R. Wilson had 8 wickets for 10 runs on a damaged pitch in the North’s second innings.
