Forest H ill print a full report of their twenty-ninth season. Of the 8(5 matches arranged for the four elevens 12 fell through, not one of these being a second X I. fixture, as it chanced. In all 36 were won, 21 lost, 17 drawn. The first X I., with seven batsmen averaging from 35 to 22, was very strong in the run-getting line ; in bowling it had one of the m ost effective trundlers of the season in G. C. Hast, and tw o capital supporters for him in T. J. Balkwill and N. W . Matthews. As it chanced, no one made a century for the first X I., but four men did so for the second, and three of these— J. Craftcr, A. Sellar, and W . S. H olt— with S. A . Hunter, were the mainstays of the batting. L. H . Baskett, N. W . Matthews, 11. T. Green, C. G. W elchm an, and A. B. Nichols took m ost of the wickets. The third X I. was a good batting side, six men averaging from 23 to 19 or so, and had three useful bowlers in C. Barham, C. A . Chaplin, and A . B. Nichols. The fourth X I. had a prom ising all-round man in E. B. N ichols, and an effective bowler in H. F. F. Coffin. Prizes were won by C. F. Phillips (first X I. batting), T. J. Balk will (first X I. bowling), K . P. N eall (highest score during W eek), J. Crafter (second X I. batting), L. H . Baskett (second X I. bowling), J. P. W hite (third X I. batting), A. B. Nichols (third X I. bowling), E. B . Nichols (all-round form , fourth X I.), A. J. W hyte (consistent batting, first X I.), N. W . Matthews (all-round form ), R . T. Green (all-round form ). Messrs.
