Everdon Hall. The Wanderers had a big win over E psom , declaring at 290 for 8 (L. S. W ells 77, R . I 1. Crawford 52), and disposing of the hom e team for 69. O. TayloT took 7 for 37, bowling finely. Six of the visitors’ wickets were secured by “ Swinger ” — a nom de guerre veiling the identity of a well-known club cricketer, who was also top scorer, though with only 14, for his side. Chiswick Park beat Marlborough Blues in very sim ilar fashion— 229 for 8, dee., to 64. A . C. Finnis topped the century for tbe Park. Barnes were defeated by W im bledon by 3 runs only. P. R. Earnshaw and P. W . Colm an (each 35, the latter not out) were top scorers for their respective sid es; the bowling of A. W . Glennie, who took 7 Barnes wickets, was a big factor in the result. Crofton Park and Brixton left their game undccided at a very interesting stage, the latter wanting 22 to win with 4 to go. J. R iley's 42, F . A . B oys’s 38, and H . C. Mattingley’s 5 for 32 for Brixton, and J .-D a y ’s 29 for Crofton Park were the m ore notable perform ance. River Plate House beat Bellefield by exactly 100 runs. P. B oitel- Gill (90) was the big scorer this tim e ; F . C. Buckeridge (31 and 6 for 46) was in all-round fettle, as usual. Heathfield easily beat Catford. C. Mills and F. M. Swancott (5 for 30 and 4 for 21) bowled so well that Catford were put out for 78, and the visitors replied with 230 for 8— G. B. Swift’s 62* the highest innings. H eathfield A (six double figures in their total of 115) beat Catford II. There was a capital bowling performance on each side, S. F . Prior for Catford taking 6 for 48, and W .
