Grace and J. Jackson played at single-wicket v. X I. of the local side. The Two scored 14 (Grace, 13 : no-ball, 1) and the Eleven only 2, Jackson taking every wicket—nine clean bowled and two hit-wicket. England v. X X II. of New South Wales, at Sydney.— This match lasted from March 16th until March 24th, but rain prevented a ball being bowled between the 18th and 24th. J. Jackson took fourteen wickets for 35 runs (five for 15 and nine for 20) and Tarrant twelve for 47 (four for 20’and eight for 27). England v. X X II. of New South Wales, at Sydney.— In the first innings of N.S.W ., G. Tarrant bowled 35 balls for no runs and seven wickets. J. Jackson took seven wickets for 21 in the same innings, and R. C. Tinley ten for 33 and eight for 20 in the second. In England’s first innings O. Lewis bowled 133 balls for 14 runs and five wickets. At Maryborough Dr. E. M. Grace played single-handed at single-wicket against six of the Weals, and, winning the toss, batted until the end of the day, scoring 106 not out. The Six had no innings. For England v. X X II. of Ballarat, at Ballarat, R. C. Tinley took eighteen wickets for 100 runs (eight for 72 and ten for 28) and J. Jackson eight for 21 (six for 15 and two for 6). England v. X X II. of Victoria, at Melbourne.— J. Jackson took ten wickets for 34 runs in the first innings of the X X II. and G. Tarrant twelve for 29 in the second. (To be continued.)
