AUGUST 5, 1 9 1 1 . CRICKET : A W EEK LY RECORD OP THE GAME. 407 SUSSEX v. KENT . Played at Brighton on July 31 and August 1 and won by Kent by an innings and 129 runs. Carr, playing for Kent for the first time this year, took eleven wickets for 120 runs on a good pitch, thus having a great deal to do with the result, In the first innings of Sussex Relf (R. R.) and Killick added 86 together, and in the second Killick, making a fine effort for his side, scored 70 out of 95 in an hour and a-half, but otherwise the batting was very weak. On the other hand, Kent obtained runs readily, Humphreys making 56 for the first wicket with HardiDge, 184 for the second with Seymour and 181 (in 110 minutes) for the third with Woolley. He hit 28 4’s during the four hours and three-quarters he was in and offered no chance. Woolley obtained his 52 out of 75 in 55 minutes, and his 108 in 130. He might have been stumped when 55, but made no other mistake. Score and analysis First innings. Relf (R. R.), c Dillon, b Carr Vine, run out.............................
