WORCESTERSHIRE y . MIDDLESEX . Played at Worcester on June 22, 23 and 24. Worcestershire won by 168 runs. The home side had the best of the game throughout. Bowley and Pearson sent up 102 together for the first wicket and later Cutt'e made 73 in two hours without a mistake. A lead of 120 was obtained on the innings, despite a fourth-wicket stand of 155 by Litteljohn and Warner. The latter batted skilfully for just over two hours and a-half, the only mistake which could possibly be urged against him being a difficult chance when 78. Everything favoured the bowlers on the third day, and the Middlesex position was always hopeless. Score and analysis :— First innings. W orcestersh ire . Bowley, b Mignon Pearson, b Hearne (J.
