J u l y 1 , 1 9 1 1 . C E ICK ET : A W EEK LY EECOED OF THE GAME. 293 ESSEX v. SUSSEX . Played at Leyton on June 22, 23 and 24. Sussex won by four wickets. In winning by four wickets, after being headed 104 on the first innings, Sussex acomplished a fine performance, for which they were very greatly indebted to the splendid all-round cricket of Albert Relf. In addition to taking eleven wickets, the player named scored over 60 not out at a most critical time without a chance, adding 64 with Cox and 66 with Somerset. The out-cricket of Sussex when Essex went in the second time was worthy of all praise, several fine catches being brought off and the bowling and fielding generally being excellent.
