W ill secretaries and others kindly forward to the Editor of C ricket accounts of noteworthy performances for mention in this column? Information should reach the office by first post on Mondays. K. FIRST-CLASS CRICKET IN SOUTH AFRICA: 1910-11 Apart from the Currie Cup Tournament, which has been fully dealt with in the last three issues of C b i c k e t , the only game of first-class importance played in South Africa during the season just ended was that between the South African Team and Western Province in October. In the batting and bowling averages which follow the figures of that game are included. Considerations of space make it impossible to give full averages. In the 22 games more than a hundred players took part, and sixty or seventy bowled. We give here the batting figures of those who played seven or more innings with a double figure average, and the bowling figures of those who took 10 or more wickets. Incidentally, it is worth while to mention, everyone who aggregated as many as 100 runs happens to come into the batting table. B A T T IN G A V E R A G E S . Batsman. Side. Inns. Not out. Runs.
