On a bowler’s wicket and against some excellent fielding Franco were dismissed for 48. Lewis, in addition to taking five wickets for 10 runs, made a magnificent catch. Belgium, given a good start by Seeldlayers and Barnish, obtained a lead of 64 on the innings. In their second innings France made 86, and Belgium obtained the few runs necessary without loss.
