Thanks to a good last-wicket stand by Robinson and Lupton, who came together at 144, the Army obtained a most useful lead on the first innings. On Tuesday Robinson hit his wiuket ere a run had been added, his stand for the last wicket with Lupton having, therefore, realised 119. He made 105 in 100 minutes and hit a 6 and thirteen 4’s.
