Played at Hobart on March 26, 28 and 29. Drawn. Heavy scoring caused this match to be drawn. During the three days 1,241 runs were scored—a record aggregate for North v. South matches -e x ceeding the 1,185 obtained at Launceston in February, 1891. Kenny liurn made the highest score in each innings of the South, and 189 runs in the match. In the second innings the eighth wicket fell at 185, when Rockliff, a Tasmanian Rhodes scholar for 1910, joined Burn and helped to put on 142 for the ninth in an hour and a-half. Burn gave no chance in his 108, which contained fourteen 4’s and took 130 minutes to make. Smith’s 179 not out for the North was a very patient, though valuable, innings. He hit twenty-two 4’s and sixty- six singles, carried his bat through the innings, and offered only one chance — when 132. Score and analysis:— S outh . First innings. Second innings. K. E.
