94 CR ICKET A WEEKLY RECORD OF THE GAME. A pril 29, 1909. “ retired,” though the visit of the M.C.C.’s Engish team brought him into the field again a season later. Worrall had also dropped out, his old comrades refusing to play with him again owing to some injudicious remarks in letters and contributions to Eng’ish papers in 1902. There is no doubt that, after his fine form in England in 1899, the Carlton veteran felt keenly his exclusion from the 1902 team; and it seemed a pity that he should have been punished so heavily for an outburst of spleen. A little of his dash would have been welcome to the Melbourne crowd in this match. (To be continued.) THE METROPOLITAN CLUBS IN 1909. (i Continuedfrom, page 79.)
