Guy Brown made 201 for Toombul v. Toowong, at Brisbane, on October 3rd. S. D. Snooke made 107 without a chance for Green Point v. Claremont at Cape Town on October 17th. J. P. During scored 137 for Claremont. CRICKET IN INDIA. BOMBAY GYMKHANA v. CENTRAL INDIA. Played at Bombay on October 3 and 5. Drawn. Owing to heavy scoring it was found impossible to complete this match in a couple of days, although the Gymkhana declared both its innings closed. Wilson hit fifteen 4’s in his 100 and offered only one chance ; with Christie as his partner 130 were added for the third wicket. In the first innings of Central India, Jilani and Whatford put on 116 together, the latter, who hit sixteen 4’s, scoring 96 by all-round cricket, and making only one mistake— a hard chance when 70. During the past season the Gymkhana played sixteen matches, of which ten were won, one lost, and five drawn. They defeated Elphinstone College, Abmednagar, Islam Gymkhana (twice), Parsee Gymkhana, Poona, Y.M.C. A. (twice), Grant Medi cal College, and the Byculla Club. The only match lost was against the Hindu Gymkhana. Tho drawn matches were against the Arm y, Hindu Gymkhana, Baronet C. C., Poona, and Central India, three of which were only half-day matches.
