G . Gunn played finely for 71, and made many fine strokes on the off-side, but Hardstaff again failed, being caught at the w icket with on ly 3 scored. PaytoD, how ever, kept John Gunn company to the end, stumps being drawn w ith three wickets down for 211. Gunn batted 165 minutes for his faultless 105 not out and hit eleven 4’ s.
