Cricket 1907

304 CRICKET : A WEEKLY RECORD OF THE GAME. J uly 25, 1907. BRIXTON WANDERERS’ WEEK. CRICKET The Brixton Wanderers, who have just held their seventeenth annual Cricket Week, were favoured with their usual luck, as far as the weather was concerned, but not in regard to the result of their matches, two only (those against Dulwich and R. Kenward’s XI.) being drawn ; whilst the others with Surrey Club and Ground. ITampton Wick, Norbury, and Granville were all lost. For this the home team have in a great measure to thank themselves, as no matter how good, or even brilliant, batting may be, if discounted by dropped catches and careless field ing. it not only disheartens the bowlers but often converts a possible Win into a decided defeat. A considerable number of the members and their friends witnessed the various matches, and the A1 Fresco concert on Wednesday evening was largely attended and highly appreciated. 1st MATCH, v.
