They have won the toss seven times and lost it seven. Since the beginning of June they have had a somewhat unsatisfactory record. They beat a weak Cambridge team at the beginning of the month, but in their next match they had the worst of the draw against Yorkshire. A t Lord’s against the M.C.C. they did not distin guish themselves in a match which was ruined by rain, nor did they show to great advantage against Leicestershire. They had the worst of the game against England, but they easily defeated Dub-
