F .” ) This well-koown old-established club has just coe eluded its card of fixtures. The honorary secretary of the club, Sir William Russell, had provided a most excellent card for the season, comprising over fifty matches with clubs, colleges and schools, commencing at Bickley on May 2ad, and terminating at Brighton a?ainsttheGentlem (nof Sussex on August 29th and 30 th. A splendid list of matches they were—mostly tw o-day fixtures. During this time the Incogs, journeyed into all the home counties, also Derby shire, Rutland, Stafford, Hants, Dorset, Gloucester, Somerset, Sussex and Devon shire. The club, although two behind in the matter of wins and losses, having won 14 and lost 16 out of 54 matches, the rest being drawn, mostly in favour of the old c’ub. They bad a most enjoyable and interesting season. The weather has been a vast improvement upon 1903. Some of the matches were won or lost by a very narrow margin, producing most interesting and exciting finishes. The weather was also on its best behaviour, as very few matches were spoiled by wet. The Incogs, showed their appreciation of fast wickets by piling up some fine scores, eight centuries being scored for the club and forty-three innings of over fifty and approaching the century. Sir William Russell was ably backed up in getting the teams together by the follow ing gentlemen: Major C. E. Greenway, A. B. Cipriani, E. C. Lee, G. E. Winter, H . J. H ill, L. H . W. Troughton, D. C. Lee, R. H . Dillon, C. M. Tuke, T. C. Belt, J. A. Rawlinson, W . E. Martyn, W . G. Heasman, W . P. Carpmael, A. E. Fernie, and J. E. Raven. The last-named captained the Midland Tour, playing at Repton, Uppingham, and Lichfield during Whit Week. The list it eluded visits to Charterhouse, Westminster, Aldershot, Shorncliffe, Chatham, the two Military Schools (Woolwich and Sandhurst), O xford and Cambridge. Also to Baron de Worms at Egham, W . H . Palmer’s at Wokenham, and W . E . Harrison’s at Lich field. A departure was made by adding a Married and Single Match (captaiued by C. M. Tuke and Sir William Russell) at Mr. Tuke’s Chiswick House, the presi dent of the club, Sir Augustus Hemming, being present. The teams scored very heavily on both sides; accordingly, the match resulted in a draw. The tours were under the management of Major C. E. Greenway, the Schools* tours to Sherborne, Cirencester and Chel tenham, also the Southern tours (Little hampton, Worthing, Southampton, Ports mouth, Eastbourne and Brighton). Of J. E. Raven, the Midland tour in Whit Week as previously mentioned. W . P. Carpmael (Western tour, Exmouth, Sid mouth, Seaton, Exeter and Newton Abbott, where South Devon were met. A very successful tour, winning four and losing only one match, the other two being drawn) were made most enjoyable. The principal scorers for the club during the season w ere:—Centuries: Major C. E. Green way, 125; R . O. Schwarz, 109; A. A. C. Druce, 159 j L. H . W . T rou gt- ton, 152 ; P. B. Vanderbyl, 100 not o u t ; F. W . Orr, 103 ; B . P. Dobson, 130 ; Rev. P. Hattereley-Smith, 130 (against the Gentlemen of Sussex — a rare good innings). Whilst those who knocked up over 50 on several occasions and have been aggravatingly near the “ century ” are Major C. E. Greenway, Major Flem ing, Captain Audrus, B. C. C /vill, G. M . Gillett, G. H . Shepstone, R . O. Schwaiz, B. P. Dobson, T. Horten, H. W . Sharp, G. E. Winter, Captain Airey, E. M. Crosse, E. W. B. Bailey, G. T. Bran ston, W . Holland, Major Fiem iag, P. B. Vanderbyl and Sir William Russell. . The undermentioned performances are worthy of notice :— G. H. Shep*tone, five wickets for 14; H .
