Some high scoring all round marked the match between Aligarh College and the Hindu Gymkhana, played on the latter ground at Bombay, on December 28th and 29th. In each innings the previous record for Bombay, the 413 by the Presidency against the Authentics, was beaten, and the 440 of the Hindus now stands as the highest score for Bombay. Ali Hasan’s 113 for Aligarh College was made in a little over an hour and a quarter, and was free from a mistake. In recognition of their brilliant batting for the Gymkhana, Pai and Shivial each received a handsome present. Mehta took four College wickets for 104, and Ali Hasan four of Gymkhana for 95 runs.
