Cricket 1901

A p r il 11, 1901. CRICKET : A WEEKLY RECORD OP THE GAME. 53 K. S. Ranjitsinhji’s two centurieB against Yorkshire, at Brighton, in 1896, were made on the third day of the match, although the batsman commenced his first innings on the evening of the second. It is curious that no cricketer should have succeeded in scoring two separate centuries in one match against Sussex. The nearest approach to the feat was made as far back as 1863 by Griffith, G., who scored 89 and 142 for Surrey at Brighton.
