Leyton The C r o y d o n Club has the advantage of the old Parliamentary hand in an hon. secretary of such long and wide experience as H . E. Groom (Pitside, Brigslock Boad, Thornton Heath). For this year he has arranged an imposing as well as attractive programme, numbering over twenty matches. The bulk of them are with South London clubs. There are, indeed, few, if any, exceptions other than M.C.C. and Ground. The Marylebone match occupies the third d»y of the Croydon fortnight, which commences on July 31st. Among the other opponents Croydon will have to meet during the fortnight are the Surrey Club and Ground and W. G. Grace’s new club, the London County C.C.
