Even now he may be already on his way to join hands with another cricketer, F. W. Milligan, who is with Colonel BadenPowell at Mafeking. Who knows ? P. W. M ay , a youngster who showed very promising cricket for the Surrey Colts last summer, did a remarkable per­ formance for the Thorpe St. Mary’s C.C. (Chertsey). During the season he took 144 wickets at a cost of 5'20 apiece. Not a bad record for a boy only fifteen last March. Of the 144 wickets, too, no less than 91 were bowled.
