340 CRICKET : A WEEKLY RECORD OF THE GAME, A ug . 10, 1899 SUKBITON CRICKET WEEK. Favoured by glorious weather, this annual festival concluded on Saturday last, has been the most successful experienced by the club for some years, since out of seven matches played six were won, ani one drawn. This has been mainly due to the excellent batting shown by several members of the team, backed up by some good bowling J. A. Hickson proved a good skipper, and kept wicket all through in a most efficient manner in spite of a knock on the forehead from one of Jupp’s expresses. 1 s t MATCH v .
