Played at Cambridge on May 4, 5 and 6 Mr. Taylor’s Side won by five wickets. It is not unusual in the Freshmen’smatches to find byes taking a prominent place in the scoring, and with 59 byes the present match may be said to have kept up the reputation required of it. As the wicket was in good order it naturally followed that there were plenty of batt-men who made fine scores, for the bowling was very seldom of any great difficulty. But Mr. Wilson, with two wickets for 33 and six for 73, did remarkably well with the ball. He also batted finely, and altogether may be well satisfied with what he did in the course of the ghme. The two men who have already appeared in county cricket, S. H. Day and R. N. R. Blaker, did not greatly distinguish themselves, but Day played good cricket in his second innings. M r .
