Barchard (14, Anerley Park, London, S.E.) has, as usual, a lengthy as well as an influential card. Saturday, the 23rd, sees the opening of the season in a trial-game between the Eleven and the N ext Sixteen. Prom that time till September 3rd, Saturdays and Bank Holidays are well occupied, with in addi­ tion a mid-week match, pretty regularly. Am cng the clubs the Crystal Palace will have to meet are Kichmond, Upper Too­ ting, Leatherhead, Sutton, Blackheath, Bickley Park, Hampstead, Epsom, 'Wim­ bledon, Hornsey, Incogniti, Beckenham, Forest H ill, Streatham, Kensington Park, Granville, Marlborough Blues, M.C.C. and Ground, and Surrey Club and Ground. The annual tour commences on August 8th and extends till the 18th. It compiises five tw o-day fixtures with the Tonbridge, Faversham, St. Lawrence (Canterbury), Devonshire Park (East­ bourne), and Eastbourne clubs respec­ tively. The vitality of the club is conclusively proved by the fact that it is able to run three elevens throughout the season. From April 30 to Sept. 3, the first team will have to fulfil 29 fixtures. These include matches with Granville, Dulwich, Addis- combe, Catford, Northbrook, Wanstead, Croydon, Crystal Palace, Sutton, and Upminster Friars.
