( b) 565 new members were enrolled in 1897. (c) There will be a new and large scoring board. (d) The debt has been reduced to £300. W a r w ic k sh ir e . —Mr. Byrne is going to South Africa. T h e Derbyshire Cricket Guide for 1898, compiled by Messrs. L . G. Wright and W . J. Piper, Junr., contains portrait and biography of Mr. Or. G. Walker and Walter Sugg, and a vast amount of interesting information with regard to Derbyshire cricket. It is published at the “ Gazette” office, Full Street, Derby, and as the price is only twopence, it is likely to command a large sale. Two articles on cricket appear in the April number of the Badminton Magazine, published by Longman’s, Green & Co. Mr. W. J. Ford ably deals with the difficult subject of “ English Cricket on Australian Grounds,” and introduces two or three of his own experiences in England with good effect.
