This year it will celebrate its forty-second season, and with every sign of increasing rather than diminishing vitality. The second eleven match with the Battersea Polytechnic on May 1st is the first of the fifty fixtures on the card. The annual tour is this year in the Isle of Wight. It extends over the August Bank Holiday week and comprises matches with Ryde, Totland B a y , Freshwater and Shanklin. The length of the programme may be judged from the fact that the last match is against R. Hunt’s eleven at Battersea on Sept. 25. Whether it is advisable to prolong the season until football is fairly in swing is a question that can best be answered by the executive of the club; anyhow, the management is practical and, with H. A. White (102, Adrian Terrace, West Brompton) as organising and responsible officer, the season can hardly fail to be successful. The ground is in Battersea Park near the Albert Bridge. M AY. I.
