The property of the Club shall be considered as vested in the Trustees for the time being. The Com mittee shall have the entire management of the property, funds, and affairs of the Club, the preparation o f' bye-laws and regulations (not inconsistent with the general rules of the Club), and the decision of all questions arising as to the construction of the rules, bye-laws, and regulations of the Club. Three Committee men to be a quorum .. But the freehold, copyhold and leasehold property of. the Club shall be leased, charged, sold, settled, or otherwise disposed of. and similar property shall be acquired for the Club, by purchase, lease, gift’ or otherwise, on such terms and in such manner in all respects, as a special general meeting shall determine ; and a special general meeting may at any time or times revocably delegate, cither generally or in any. particular transaction or series of similar transactions, all or any of the powers of special general meetings m respect of such property, either to the Committee or to the Trustees, and also ratify any acts which either the Committee or the Trustees shall have done in respect of such property without such previous delegation, and everything done in pursuance of this rule, shall bind every member of the Club as fully to all intents and purposes as if he had individually assented thereto. X lla . I he Committee may appoint members to fill up temporarily all vacancies occurring by death or resigna tion in any of the offices of the Club (other than that of Auditor), until the next annual general meeting or special general meeting. In the case of the death or resignation of two of the Auditors previous to the audit, a special general meetiiig shall be at once summoned to fill up the vacancies. X IIJ. A t the anniversary dinner, the annual general meeting, and special general meetings, the chair shall be taken by the President, if present; in his absence, by, the Treasurer; in the absence of both, by the Secretary ; and in the absence of the thrde. b ^ a member, to be chosen by the meeting. ..... "+ X III. ■ . . The 'I reasurer or Secretary shall at the annual general meeting in each year, submit a Statement of the Accounts certified by the signatures of at least two of the Auditors. X IV . The Committee shall, at the requisition of twenty members, or of their own authority, call a special general meeting, of which fourteen days’ notice, specifying the object, time, and place of such meeting, shall be given in The Times , and at least one of the sporting papers. X V . 1he Laws of Cricket shall not at any time be changed, except at a special general meeting, of which, in addition to the formalities described in Rule X IV ., notices shall be given in The Times, and at least two of the London sporting paper*, one month before the day of meeting; and this notice shall state in distinct terms the change in the Law to be proposed, and no change shall be declared carried unless twenty members at least shall vote in favour of it. X V I. If any circumstance which, in the opinion of the Committee is likely to endanger the welfare or good order of the Club, shall ba brought under their notice, it shall be in their discretion to call a special general meeting ; and, in the event of its being voted at that meeting by two-thirds of the members present (to be decided by ballot), that this name of any member be removed from the Chibjsnch individual shall immediately cease to be a member thereof, and shall forfeit ipso facto all subscriptions, whether for life or otherwise, and all right to or claim upon the Club or its property. X V II. A Copy of the Rules of this Club shall be sent to each new member, with the letter informing him of his election. X V III. The Rules or any of them, may be altered, abrogated, and added to, either generally or for the particular occasion, at any special general meeting, by the vote of two-thirds of the members present, and voting at such meeting.
