Ledger as hon. sec., as well as of G. H . Longmarm’s practical experience of the captaincy. The club plays the game in the true county style, giving encouragement to all classes, and among its working men members are two very useful bowlers, A. J. Green and H. W. Edwards. The Epsom week which commences on August bank holiday, has for its principal attraction a two-days match against the Free Foresters. The ground has been well looked after since last season and both match and practice wickets promise very well. MAY. 8. Epsom, v. Stamford Green 15. Banstead, v. Banstead 15. Epsom, v. Ashtead 18. Kensington’s card for 1897 is the 16th consecutive list arranged by the hon. sec., C. E. Bloomer, 133, John Street, Bedford Bow. As the result Kensington will have to meet most of their old friends. The in clusion of a match with the Elstree masters shows that they are not afraid of flying at high game, when they get the chance. All the batsmen who did so well last year are again available, including L . de Montezuma, whose average last year was over 70 ; C. E. Bloomer, over 30; F. M. Wheatley, G. A. Nicolls, E. V . Gardner and others. The annual tour on the south coast which has always been so successful is to be repeated and extended. The ground which is again under the care of J . Salmon, is in capital condition and we expect to have a repetition of the good wickets which were so appreciated by batsmen last year. MAY. 8. Home, v. Spencer 8. Wandsworth, v. Spencer 2nd XI. 15.
