A very imposing list of matches has been, as usual, arranged by H ampstead , and with two or three exceptions only, the club will play two teams on Satur days. The great majority of the matches are day matches. In the “ W6ek,” which begins on July 27, the opposing clubs are M.C.C., Hornsey, Harrow Blues, Hampton Wick, Clapton, and Streatham. The elevens for the Week will be chosen by A. E. Stoddart, who as well as Gregor Macgregor, will choose them for several other matches. Among the clubs at a distance which are to be met, are Chelmsford and Eastbourne. The hon orary secretary is W. R. Marshall, Waltham, 11, Walm Lane, Willesden Green, N.W. The H onor O ak match list is not quite as lengthy as usual, although it consists of fifty-three engagements. Most of the club’s old opponents will be met, including Surrey Club and Ground, Surrey Colts, Thames Ditton, Clapham, Leyton, Batter sea, and, in addition, the Northbrook, Wanstead, and Stamford Hill. In fact, the 1st team have a strong side to meet on nearly every Saturday during the season; but as all the old members of the club are remaining, and one or two new members have joined it, a highly success ful season may be anticipated.
