The B eckenham season begins on Saturday with a match between Foot­ ballers and Cricketers, and ends on September 2nd with a match against the Village. The event of the season will be the match between Kent and Notts. During the Week exactly the same matches as last year will be played, viz., the Oxford University Authentics, Mr. H. Leveson-Gower’s X I., the Incogniti, and Bickley Park. On June loth and following days, the ground will be given up to the usual Lawn Tennis Tournament, while on July 4th, athletic sports will be held. E. Tate will, as for many years past, be again the ground man, and the club has engaged Cragg, of Nottinghamshire, as ground bowler and umpire for the third season in suc­ cession. The C rystal P alace C.C., whose honorary secretary is Francis C.Barchard, 14, Anerley Park, S.E., has, as usual, a very long list of matches, for which the team are selected by a great many different members of the club. The tour, in Kent and Sussex, is in August, and two-day matches will be played against Tonbridge, Hythe, Canter­ bury, Eastbourne, Hastings and the Saffrons. The elevens for three of these matches will be selected by Stanley Colman, and for the remainder, by C. Mitchell.
