Saturday week will see operations commenced in the form of an opening match, though real business does not begin till the first Saturday in May. From this time till September 5th two teams will be repre senting Northbrook every Saturday as well as on the two Bank Holidays. Sec. of the S u r bito n Club. F. Fielding, his many friends will regret to learn, is for the moment unable to undertake the duties of the Captaincy, and in these cir cumstances a Vice-Captain has been appointed. Every one who has played at Surbiton will be grieved to learn that the coming season of 1897 will be the club’s last on its present field.
