The team will be captained once again by Stanley Christopher- son. G. J. Y. Weigall, the Kentish amateur, will appear in the club’s ranks this year. It is hoped that H. C. Stewart and J. R. Mason appear as frequently as possible. The former’s scholastic duties, of course, inter­ feres much with his cricket. Amongst the Amongst the Public School XI. men of last year who have joined, may be mentioned O. Hubbard (Tonbridge), D. Christo- pherson (Rugby), andW. Cooper (Wellington College). The club has arranged a long list °f fixtures. Amongst the principal are patches against the M.C.C., Oxford Authen- tics, Band of Brothers, Butterflies, Tonbridge School, Blue Mantles, R.A. (Woolwich), and of course against their old friends and rivals, Beckenham and Bickley Park. Blackheath piny the latter a two-day match. This, though quite a fresh departure, is one in the JJght time, as it is quite impossible to finish yc game in one day, especially as the two clubs do their utmost to put their strongest ®,ln^° the field. Easter falling late the season at Croydon commenced on EasterMonday with a matchwith the Erratics. The home teamwon in promising style, as the score in last week’s Cricket will show. The club will not tour this season, but will have afortnight on their own ground, beginning on July 29. On almost every Saturday until the end of July there will be three elevens playing, and generally during that time a mid-week match also. Nearly all the members who played last seasonare again available, and several recently joined are likely to be of service. H. R. Groom is still the captain and hon. secretary, and Mr. R. Archer captain of the second eleven.
