In 1893 with far fewer engagements of course—the grand total was only 37. Of the 64 this year, 28 have been “ bagged” by amateurs and 36 by profes ional players. In May ten cases occurred, in June 15, in July 21, in August 17, and in September one. The name of Russell occurs no fewer than three times—all in county fixtures, w'hile the following figure twice in the lis t: Baldwin, Gamblin, King, R. S. Lucas, Marlow, H . H. Marriott, Mold, Pougher, and J. S. Robinson.
