The representatives of the Ciicketing Associations, Mr. J. Portus (New South Wales), Mr. J. Creswell (South Australia', and Mr. E. D. Heather (Victoria), and Messrs. B. J. Wardill and Sheridan (repre senting the English team), together with representatives of the trustee3 of the Sydney Association Cricket Ground and the Mel bourne Cricket Club, met on June 17 to draw up the programme c f international and inter colonial matches for the next Australian season, which, with the visit of the English team, promises to be a remarkably busy one. Five test matcles were determined upon, but as against these extra representative games of return matches with Victoria and New South Wales, which always had a place in the programme of visiting eleven?, have been dropped, so that the number of matches remain the same, as only one representative match is played in Adelaide. The English men play a return match with that colony, so that South Australia will be the first to greet the visitors in tbe field and the last to meet them on Australian ground. In view of the visit of the Englishmen and the necessity for drawing up a programme it was necessary to pick dates for the intercolonial matches, which are usually arranged much Jater in the year. The following is the programme. I n ter c o lo n ia l . N ov. 30 and D ec. 1, 3, 4—A delaide, V ictoria v. South Australia D ec. 22, 24.26,27—M elbourne, N ew South W ales v.
