Cricket 1891

AUG. 13, 1891 CRICKET: A WEEKLY RECORD OP THE GAME. 347 WARW ICKSH IRE v. DERBYSH IRE. The Warwickshire eleven were outplayed at all points of the game in this match at Bir mingham on Monday and Tuesday last, and were in the end decisively beaten by nine wickets. The scoring was slow throughout, and Mr. S. H. Evershed’s 30, in the first innings of Derbyshire, was the highest in dividual contribution. The victory of Derby shire was largely due to the fine bowling of Porter, who in the two innings secured ten wickets at a cost of just under seven runs apiece. On the other side Pallett bowled with considerable success, taking six wickets for 46 runs. W ar w ick sh ir e . First Innings. Mr. H. W.
