4 1 0 CRICKET: A WEEKLY BECORD OF THE GAME. SEPT. 18, 1890. HALL’S XI. y. PERTHSHIRE. On September 5 and 6, Louis Hall, the well-known Yorkshire professional, took a team of northern players to Perth, where an interesting match was won by the Englishmen by 60 runs. An enormous crowd witnessed the play, and such matches cannot fail to do a lot of good to Scottish cricket. The scoring was [low on both sides, Pride’s second inn ings of 36 for Perth being the highest of the match. N o r t h o f E n g la n d XI. First Innings.
