'1he visitors had a strong team , but they failed to com e off on the soddened wickets. A ll the four matches played were drawn. T he Incogs were m ost hospitably and sumptuously enter tained during the whole week by Mr. W . W . Somm erville, the captain of the Lasswade Club, and other members of that club, and everything was done by their kind hosts to show that though Scotch weather m ight be cold and ungenial, a Scotch welcom e and hospitality were the ne plus ultra of warmth and generosity.
