With the exception of Lord Hawke York­ shire sent its full strength to Stoke to oppose Staffordshire onFriday and Saturday last. The game went, too, all against the home team, and Yorkshire, closing their innings on the fall of the seventh wicket, won by an innings and 137 runs.
