Played at Willesden, on September 1, a large number of members and visitors being present, and resulted in a victory for the Ladies on the first innings. The Ladies had the assistance of Mr. C. Wilson, who acted as Captain, but he was restricted like the Gentlemen to batting and catching with his left hand. The Gentle men had to use their broomsticks and play entirely left-handed. The Misses Turnbull batted in fine form, the first wicket falling for 39. Miss Venables and Miss G. Lucas also played well, and the latter took seven wickets for 25 runs. The catches made by the Misses Turnbull would have been a credit to any cricketer. L a d ie s . First Innings. Second Innings. Miss Turnbull, cG.
