INCOGN IT I IR IS H TOUR. The Incogs finished up their season of 1888 with a fortnight’s cricket in Ireland, the team being under the management of the Rev. P. H attersley-Sm ith. They had a m ost enjoyable and delightful visit, though from a cricketing point of view the results were not so satis factory as they m ight have been. The first three matches were lost, the fourth drawn, and the last two won. A lack of bowling was the weak point of the visitors, though Gibson kept up his end all through the tour m ost perse- veringly and creditably, and at the Curragh perform ed the “ hat trick.” The utm ost kind ness and hospitality were everywhere extended to the Incogs, and at the V ice-Regal Lodge in particular they were received by His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant and the Marchioness of Londonderry in the m ost kind and genial manner. During 1888 the Incogniti have played 41 matches, of which they have won 18, lost 12, and 11 have been drawn. IN CO GN ITI v. CURRAGH CAMP. Played at the Curragh on August 13 and 14. I noogniti .
