The Cheshire eleven had a very easy win in this match, played at Stockport on Friday and Saturday last. The Staffordshire players were indeed outplayed at all points, and were beaten in the end by an innings and 121 runs. In their two innings there w ere only five double figures, and Mr. F. R. Tw em low ’s second score of 21 was the highest on the side. Mr. Fullalove hit freely for Cheshire, and W oodw ard and Davenport also played well. Mr. Bretherton’s bowling was also very effective.
