The following notes sent me by a correspondent who has taken a very active part in the introduction of cricket to Holland will, I hope, be interesting:— The game continues to thrive in Holland, and appears now to be quite established as the national summer pastime. The recent in corporation of the “ Nederlandsche Cricket- Bond,Mthe supreme council on matters per taining to cricket, has introduced some organisation and union among the hetero geneous multitude of clubs, and one of its special functions is to encourage matches with visiting teams from other countries. The first match played by the natives with Englishmen was in 1881, when a suburban team from London visited the country, on which occasion
